Welcome to Iran. Upon arrival in Shiraz (considering you arrived in the morning), you will be transferred to your hotel and begin exploring one of the country's most beloved cultural cities.
Your first discoveries include the colorful Nasir al-Mulk Mosque, famous for its stained-glass windows and vibrant morning light. Continue to the historic Vakil Bazaar, where local merchants sell spices, handicrafts, and traditional goods in a lively atmosphere.
Later, visit the imposing Karim Khan Citadel, a symbol of Shiraz's Zand-era heritage, before ending the day at the peaceful Tomb of Hafez, where visitors gather to celebrate the legacy of Iran's most beloved poet.

After breakfast, leave Shiraz and travel toward Yazd through some of Iran's most important historical landscapes.
The day begins at the UNESCO-listed Persepolis, the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire. Walking among its monumental staircases, towering columns, and intricate reliefs offers a remarkable glimpse into ancient Persia's golden age.
A short drive away lies Naqsh-e Rostam, where royal tombs carved into dramatic cliffs preserve the legacy of Persian kings. A visit to Pasargadae, the resting place of Cyrus the Great, adds another chapter to the story of ancient Persia.
By evening, arrive in the desert city of Yazd.

Today is dedicated to exploring Yazd, one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited desert cities and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Visit the magnificent Jameh Mosque of Yazd, known for its elegant tilework and soaring minarets. Continue to the striking Amir Chakhmaq Complex, one of the city's most recognizable landmarks.
Later, stroll through the peaceful Dowlat Abad Garden, home to one of the tallest windcatchers in the world. The day also introduces Yazd's Zoroastrian heritage with visits to the sacred Yazd Atash Behram and the historic Tower of Silence.

Leaving Yazd behind, we venture deeper into Iran's desert landscapes.
Our first stop is Kharanaq, an ancient mud-brick settlement that has stood on the edge of the desert for centuries. Walking through its narrow alleys provides a fascinating glimpse into traditional desert life.
Next, visit the sacred mountain sanctuary of Chak Chak, the most important pilgrimage site for Zoroastrians in Iran. Surrounded by dramatic desert scenery, the site offers a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere.
Tonight, experience the romance of the Silk Road with an overnight stay at the beautifully restored Zein-o-din Caravanserai.

Today marks the beginning of your adventure into the UNESCO-listed Lut Desert, one of the most extraordinary landscapes on Earth.
As we travel toward Shahdad, the scenery gradually transforms into vast plains, rugged desert formations, and endless horizons.
Upon arrival, explore the famous Kaluts, spectacular natural formations sculpted by wind and erosion over thousands of years. We also visit areas known for their unique Nebkhas, natural desert mounds created around vegetation.
As the sun sets, the desert reveals its most magical colors, creating unforgettable photographic opportunities.

Spend the day immersed in the breathtaking landscapes of the Lut Desert.
Travel by 4WD through remote desert terrain, discovering sand dunes, hidden viewpoints, and ever-changing natural formations. The silence and vastness of the desert create a unique sense of isolation and wonder.

Along the way, visit the beautiful Shazdeh Garden, a UNESCO-listed Persian garden that creates a surprising green oasis against a desert backdrop.
Continue to the revered Shah Nematollah Vali Shrine, one of Iran's most important Sufi monuments. Upon arrival in Kerman, explore the historic Ganjali Khan Complex, a remarkable collection of caravanserais, bathhouses, and bazaars from the Safavid era.

Today's excursion takes us to two of Iran's most impressive desert fortresses.
Begin with a visit to the UNESCO-listed Arg-e Bam, one of the world's largest adobe structures and one of Iran's most iconic historical landmarks.
Continue to Rayen Castle, a beautifully preserved mud-brick fortress surrounded by mountain scenery. Although smaller than Bam, it offers an equally fascinating look into traditional desert architecture.
Return to Kerman before taking an evening flight to Tehran.

Your final full day is spent exploring Tehran, where Iran's ancient heritage meets modern city life.
Visit the UNESCO-listed Golestan Palace, a masterpiece of Qajar architecture featuring elegant halls, colorful tilework, and beautiful gardens.

The tour does not require technical trekking or climbing, but you should be comfortable with regular walking. Some visits involve uneven ground, historic villages, archaeological sites, fortresses, and sandy desert terrain. The Lut section is primarily explored by 4WD, so this is not a long-distance desert trekking tour.
