Our day begins at 8:00 AM with a pick-up from your hotel in Tehran. As we drive through the city’s bustling streets, you’ll get a feel for the dynamic energy of Iran’s capital.
We start at the National Museum of Iran, where centuries of Persian history come alive through remarkable artifacts from the Paleolithic era to the Islamic period. Next, we head to the nearby Golestan Palace, a UNESCO-listed gem known for its lavish halls, exquisite tilework, and tranquil gardens—an enduring symbol of Qajar-era elegance. Just outside the palace, we pass through the National Garden Gate, a beautifully preserved landmark that once marked the entrance to Tehran’s old government complex.
By midday, we head to the Tehran Grand Bazaar, the city's commercial and cultural hub for centuries. Before exploring its bustling alleys, we pause for lunch at a traditional restaurant within the bazaar, savouring authentic Persian flavours. Afterward, we wander through the vibrant marketplace, where merchants sell everything from spices to handcrafted goods, offering a glimpse into daily life in Tehran.
In the afternoon, we visit the Treasury of National Jewels, home to one of the world’s most extraordinary collections of royal gems, including the famed Darya-e Noor diamond. Since the treasury is only open from Saturday to Tuesday (2:00-5:00 PM), on other days, we’ll explore the Glassware and Ceramics Museum, showcasing exquisite Persian craftsmanship. At the end of our downtown tour, we will drive to the award-winning Nature Bridge, a symbol of modern Iranian creativity.
Finally, we transfer you back to your hotel, marking the end of a day filled with history, culture, and architectural wonders.
